Some people said that Mr. Cleaner often talked about a hiding place in Fluffy's exhibit that was in the shadow of a large rock. He had said that no one could see him while he was there. The night that Fluffy was taken was during a full moon however, and the guards had said that they saw nobody there. We can verify that the hiding place was covered by the shadow or not by using Trigonometric Ratios (Trig Ratios).
We know the rock is 12 ft. and the distance from the foot of the rock to the hiding place is 6 ft. If the angle of elevation of the moon at 10 pm was 70 degrees.
Was the shadow long enough to cover Mr. Cleaner (more than 6 ft.)?
